6 Random Facts About Me

I thought rather than writing a huge introduction about myself, taking up valuable space and boring you all to death,  I would just come up with some random facts so satisfy your curiosity instead. If you have any you would like to share, or have any comments on mine, I would love to hear them.

Most of my time was spent in Ecuador, but I also travelled extensively through Costa Rica and Columbia.

If I ever got stranded on a desert island, I would be fine as long as I had some dim sum. One of my best culinary experiences was the two weeks I spent in China a few years ago. Every meal was a grastronomic adventure - even if you weren’t always sure what you were eating.

I have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively, and now only Australasia beckons. By some stroke of luck my cousin has recently relocated to New Zealand, so hopefully an invitation will be forthcoming.

While I can in no way claim to have the most stressful job around, getting abused by irate customers on a regular basis can increase a person’s stress levels. One of my favourite ways to unwind and release some of that tension is to go and shoot - clay pigeons of course. Cookery, well all things foodie, is anther great passion of mine.

I am learning Italian

Having spent two years in South America I already speak Spanish, and Italian is my next challenge, though it is similar enough to Spanish to mean that I am making fairly rapid progress.

• Ugly Betty - The comedy, the genius, Betty … need I say more.

• Grey’s Anatomy - Everyone needs a guilty secret … Grey’s Anatomy and Dr Steamy happens to be mine. What’s a girl to do?

• House - Hugh Laurie is a comic genius. The thing I love about House is his ‘don’t give a damn’ attitude and complete irreverence for everyone and everything.
